Study cites increased traffic for new casino

LA POSTA INDIAN RESERVATION – A small casino expected to open around February will generate a hefty increase in traffic on this rural East County reservation but poses no other significant environmental impacts, according to a report released last week for public review.
The La Posta Indian band plans to build a 20,000-square-foot casino on Crestwood Road a mile north of Interstate 8 and 60 miles east of San Diego. Construction is expected to begin around August, a tribal official said.
